Voila tout est dit Searle va revenir en mondial pour participper aux 3 premiers GP de la saison
World MX2 runner-up Tommy Searle will be coming back to europe to contest the opening three rounds of the World MX2 championship. Talking with World MX2 champion Tyla Rattray this morning the South African mentioned that Searle will race Faenza, Bulgaria and Istanbul. This is exciting news for the GP series, and obviously will make a big difference to the results.
It was originally expected that Searle wouldn't be able to return to europe after he was requested to race some early rounds of the world championship by former World 250cc motocross champion and leading KTM official Heinz Kinigadner. Word was that Searle at first declined the offer, although that seems to have changed.
Rattray who was practising at the Glen Helen circuit with Searle yesterday, mentioned that the British rider is coming back to prepare for the AMA Nationals.
"He will do the first three rounds," Rattray said. "I thought about it, although the Kawasaki guys are not that keen about it and I don't think I need to go the extra races for my preperation. From what I understand he will do the first three rounds."
What makes this all the more exciting is to see how Searle will do against his replacement in the Red Bull KTM team, Shaun Simpson. Simpson has looked very impressive so far this year and with the full support of KTM and a years experience behind him he might be able to mix it with Searle, just as he did on a couple of occasions in 2008. I am sure both British riders look forward to the chance to race eachother again.
